Airports & Flights in Egypt
Cairo International Airport (code: CAI) is the largest of Egypt’s airports and serves as the main hub for Egypt Air. It has two terminals. From Cairo International, flights can be taken to most major Egyptian cities and towns. This airport has a range of services for disabled individuals, as well as “exclusive services” for those who wish to travel in style. Also available are internet cafes, medical services, duty free shops, lounges, banks, restaurants and cafes, and tourist information, hotel, and transportation desks. There is parking at the airport. Cairo International Airport has recently been making an effort to become more ecologically friendly; more information can be found at the airport.
There are several other international airports on Egypt’s territory. These are Dabaa City –Alalamain (DBB), Al Arish (AAC), Alexandria El Nozha (ALY), Aswan (ASW), Hurghada (HRG), Luxor (LXR), Marsa Alam (RMF), Sharm El Sheikh - Ophira (SSH), and Taba (TCP). Of these, only Luxor currently has regularly scheduled service. The rest accept charter flights.
